What phrase to use...

    Looks like Im turning into a bit of a regular on this board :D

    This time Im giving a speech (best man) and Im looking for the right word to use.

    To paraphrase the bit Im stuck on it goes a little like:

    Barry, never settles for anything less than the best. Even at work he didnt start on the bottom and work his way up like everyone else. He always goes straight for the _________ ??????

    I have no idea why, but for some reason Im thinking 'apple cart' :confused::confused: But that doesnt even sound right.. Does it..??? WHat would be a good word/phrase to use instead?

    If the thing he goes straight for... usually ends up upside down... then "apple cart" would do just fine :)

    bull's eye?

    Mind you, the etymology of bull's eye is as a slang term for the vagina.

    So it depends on how far you're willing to extend this metaphor.
