I was thinking of entering but i would like to know more about it before i do. also you still have to pay the green fees so this put me off a bit too.

Not my cup of tea but interested to see how it pans out all the same. It looks a bit vague for now but then I have been known to look suspiciously at these type of promotions.

Looks ok but would rather to see a contact telephone number on there, rather than a contact form
I tend not to deal with online companies that dont have a landline contact number

Did you think for 40 quid you got 'x' amount of rounds of golf with a possible weekend's worth of golf at Carton House at the end of it??

Is it not free if you play on your own course or your competition plays on his course? said something about it on the website.
Just a matter of playing your opponents on the right courses in your area I think?

No I didn't think that, but there isn't even a reduced green fee or anything. Cost will add up fairly quickly if you have to pay a green fee every time you play.

Can I ask a "stupid" question...
Why was my post deleted for mentioning one golf event I found interesting but yet the very first post is promoting a golf event?

Just curious as I am only a member here a month or so and don't want to get in trouble but do what to know what you can or cant mention.

There is previous posts about promotional draws for Dunmore east classic and another I can mention?

There was a poster promoting his events on here a while back, he went about it the wrong way and was banned from the forum.... just letting you know as you probably missed it.... it was just over a month ago!

indeed, advertising for sole benefit of the poster is not allowed on the forum or boards for that matter.

Regular posters posting about club competitions or offers is fine.

We had a bit of grief over the particular event you linked hence the posts we unapproved.

    As per the charter:
    Advertising
    - Topics/posts that contain this will be both edited/locked or deleted. If you wish to buy add space, contact an admin.
    - Regular golf forum users will be given some leeway to link to ads on adverts.ie in the for sale thread only. Any abuse will lead to a ban.

Who's he... anyway no problem, just did not understand why I got posts deleted when others are also mentioning events the same as I did. Still not sure why but kinda understand what u mean. I understood that the hangover event was only new as the website only went up over the last few days as I was trying to find if from their facebook page.

So can I or should I mention other events as I am curious if anyone else here is going to the one up the north-west later this year as I plan to go, totally love links golf.

Good to see your settling into mod role

Good to see you're contributing as positively as ever.

Letting a poster know about events on the forum before his time isn't modding imo, it's being helpful.

Can I ask how do I know what golf events I can and cant mention?
As I mentioned 1-2 and they got deleted but yet there seems to be lots of other events getting discussed and promoted with draws and offers?
Dunmore east classic, north west coast causeway coast, Atlantic coast, and loads of others.

Just so were are clear and I don't get into trouble is there certain events I cant mention?
