    Hi there,
I am about to start a hdip in primary education and just wondering, as a single mother of a toddler, what options there are for the Gaeltacht part of the course? I understand its for 3 weeks so just wondering if anyone else had this experience as either a single or coupled parent and how did you manage? Thanks :-)

Last year we met a granny in West Kerry on the beach with her grandchild . The mother and her mother took a house nearby and granny minded the child during the day.

That's a great idea. Thanks a million for taking the time to share :-)

Thanks for posting question and answer, this applies to me too - mother of a toddler, and starting the hdip. I was worried about the three week thing, but that sounds like a great idea!:)

If a few people could get together ,grannies could have people their own age and have some time off too!!
