    Hi,

Currently have 225/40R18 88W on the front and 255/35R18 90W on the rear.

Is switching to 92Y and 94Y front and rear respectively OK? Would it make any noticeable difference?

It was more the 88/90 v 92/94 as opposed to the W v Y I was wondering about. Thanks for the replies though, I'm sure they will be grand.

A load rating that surpasses the specification of the manufacturer surely is better.
Different if you went the other way.

Unless they are the original tyres I would check that the ones currently fitted are the correct speed and load rating first. If they were changed before they may already have been changed with lower spec..

    Just to be sure ..
