    Here's how to do it:

    1) Go to linked page
    2) Uncheck Extended download service (unless you want it) to save $5.99
    3) Click the "Nero - simply enjoy" logo top left
    4) They think you may be ditching out of purchasing so offer a further 10% off. Accept
    5) Click Next. The page is for a US customer. If you use the "Click here to change your country" it won't work as for some reason it empties your basket and when you try to put the product back in it goes in at £79.99. So enter a spoof but real US address (i.e. good ZIP code). I used a pizza outlet in Maine. It's a digital download so the physical address is irrelevant. If you want to, after purchase you could go back into your user account and change your address, but not necessary
    6) Complete the transaction and pay. The site does not cross-check the US address with your credit card so this works OK
    7) You'll get an email with serial and download link

    PLEASE NOTE: this product is marked "Upgrade". It installed perfectly on my Win7 system that just had an ancient "essentials" edition installed (free, bundled with a drive). At no point did I see it check for a qualifying product.

    Thought it was too good to be true...almost passed! Glad I didn't. Everything installed fine, no previous install of Nero on computer. Many, many thanks!!!

    I had a nero things years and years ago which was for burning cds on our old win 98 pc. what does this do?
    Ive a Windows 8 i3 laptop, whats this gonna do for me :D
    I googled a bit but cant see a definite answer
