Heater fan barely working

The heater van in my mk1 focus is bearly working even when turned to 4 were it would normally be blowing away...can anyone tell me what am I looking at having to fix or replace to have it working again...thanks

Your filter may be blocked.

Replace your pollen filter ..very easy to do

Pollen filter was replaced at last service less than 2k ago...I'll take it out again see if its blocked or something see if that makes a difference...cheers

In some cars when you take out the pollen filter to change it, you also have to clean out a lot of leaves and other crap that has accumulated in front of the filter.
Also check from the outside of the car, where the heating system air intake is, if it's not blocked.

Is it barely blowing or blowing barely warm air? Also in 4th setting, does the blower fan sound like working at full speed?

Yes, this is unclear.
Is it blowing as it should, just not hot air?

When on 4 which is max, there is a very very light blow coming from it and it is warm so the heat end of it seems grand but power from the actual blower seems to be gone, it dosent work at all on 1 2 or 3 Was working away grand just the other morning stopped.

Any ideas?

Ah, that's a known issue.
Problem is the resistor.

Google "focus fan only works on 4"
