I have been driving for 5 years but for various reasons never got around to getting a full licence.. Failed it once a few years ago... Ended up with a late notice booking for Wednesday morning so no time for lessons... I won't be cancelling but what's the best way to approach this?

Find an ADI and see can you book two lessons/pre test sessions tomorrow - one in the morning, the other in the evening.
Depending on what bad habits you have or haven't developed, you may well pass and just get it done with.

Decided im going to just use the test as a lesson itself.. Not going going to bother book or pay for last minute lessons at this stage. .I'l watch the test on YouTube and see how i get on!

Tbh just make sure you check the mirrors regularly, especially the left one, make it obvious you're looking at it
I drove for 1 year, took 2 lessons and 1 before the test and passed.

Ignoring idiots who comment "far right" because they don't even know what it means

Book a pre-test. I was in a very similar situation and booked 2 pre-test sessions. One the evening before, and one on the morning of the test. He picked out a few bad habits. I definitely wouldn't have passed without them.

Bad move. Even 1 pretest will give you some pointers.
