I'm attending an anniversary funeral mass soon in London, is it possible for me to bring a jar of soil on the flight to the UK?

Should I declare it or something?

I would say it to security, they might want to open it and check.I know it sounds silly but Make sure the soil is totally dry as if it is anyway damp they could seize it under the liquid rules.
