How to get rid of an X-trail I don't need/want?

    Howdy folk,
I have an automatic 4WD 03 petrol X-trail (2L) that's been idle (bar the odd spin around the farm)for about 6 months. (It runs fine, started it yesterday, no tax or nct though.)
I'd put it on Donedeal but I don't see anyone parting with cash for a petrol-guzzler and I've been told that Donedeal ads attract muppets like flies to shit with time-wasting calls and texts - could live without that.
Is scrapping it the only alternative? What am I likely to get for it in that case? Any input from people in the know would be welcome.

Put it on donedeal for 900 you'll get 200 from a scrapper.

Petril with relatively large engine (in the Irish eyes)
    No ensiti or tax
    Auld (11 years and counting)
Lying up for a wee bit

That's not going to help one bit

Change your attitude and give us link to your DoneDeal ad for a look. We will comment.

My attitude? My donedeal ad? Try reading it again, champ.

seriously, spend 4 minutes having a look through donedeal and adverts, if you get a few timewasters, so be it, it will sell quite easily

There's money to be made off it lad.
Say I bought it off you at 250, I could sell it on for perhaps 900 or 1000.

Really? 900/1000? Surprised to hear it, to be honest. I'll have a look at putting it up there, so. If I get 500 I'll be happy enough.

Drop me a pm BMJD. Note - I'm in West Limerick, you'd be responsible for transporting it elsewhere. (Was actually only looking for advice - wasn't expecting offers! Still, fire away...)

    any swap my ads bud?

Seriously though OP, put in donedeal/adverts and a few more. Someone may need it and give you an ok price for it.
I think you can restrict both to mails only and not need to get texts.
