    Hi,

The answer to the above question on the C.I. website is blank..(!)

I've been in a club for a couple of years and doing the odd sportive.
    How do I start racing?
What kind of license I need?
What level should I start at.

    Grateful for any answers.
Sorry if this seems naive but I have no experience of this.

    M.S.

Why not have a chat with the racers in your club, they could probably offer more specific advice than the slew of posts that will follow this one

Apart from Daraghs one of course

Your Club should be able to help you out with this.

If they run a Club league or are part of an inter-club league you should try that first.

You'll need a Limited Competition License from Cycling Ireland.

After that you can give open racing a go. You have to start in the beginner category which is A4, and you'll need to get a Full Competition License for that.

    More info here.

I'll ask around about a CLub league and se where I go with that.
