    Hi Guys

This lens has gone down considerably in price, compared to when it was first released.
Anyone have it? Care to share your thoughts?

I have a 50mm on my crop but I find it too tight, would like something a bit wider.
Many people suggest the sigma 30mm but the above lens is only slightly more expensive now.

Would love to hear some thoughts on this...thanks

If you can afford it, I would recommend the sigma 35mm f1.4. I had the sigma 30mm f1.4 a few years back and the new 35mm is a far superior lens

    Thanks

Would this work on a full frame Canon if ever I upgraded?
What makes this better over the Canon 35mm?

    Thanks again

Would you consider the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8? It is getting fantastic reviews. It's like having a series of primes. Won't work on full frame though unfortunately..

The sigma 35mm works on both full frame and crops sensors. The older 30mm is for crop only. As is the 18-35mm f1.8 mentioned by Zascar.

I haven't used the canon 35mm ƒ2 - but the canon 35mm f1.4 is an L lenses....so its *supposed* to be better than the ƒ2. ie its positioned high up the ladder in the canon ranks.
ALL the recent reviews say the sigma 35mm ƒ1.4 is superior lens to the canon 35mm ƒ1.4. Plus is also significantly cheaper than the canon 35mm L
