SSD upgrade advice

My Toshiba laptop is 2 years old (i7, 6GB ram) and is running pretty well, but I want to install a SSD instead of my current harddrive. I was wondering whats a good SSD and where would be the cheapest place to get it, 250GB or thereabouts would be plenty of space as I mostly use it for college, Office, Photoshop, Eclipse etc.

This was the one I was thinking of getting.

I can't speak for the EVO but I have the Pro version of that Samsung SSD and I can't praise it enough!
It really is night and day when you move from a HDD to a SDD.

I would definitely stay with either Samsung or Intel.

Evo is what you should be getting. Best price to performance/capacity ratio there is at the moment.

I'll go with the Evo so. Thanks for the advise.

Either will make a huge difference. I got a 120GB EVO in the november sales for under 68quid and I did not notice any speed difference between it and the 840 series that it replaced (moved the 250GB 840 to another computer than needed more space)

i've had good experience with the Kingston brand ssd

but id stay away from adata , a friends laptop is on its 3rd one. (not sure why it keeps failing, but at least its under warranty - seems to fail just short of a year each time.. )
