Mafi - Lingfield 12:15 (40/1)

Not much time, but going to have a very speculative punt on Mafi at huge odds tomorrow. Horse has been competitive at a similar/lower mark before. Wouldn't be too put off by its last race, that was much hotter than this one and the jock then stopped trying at the close. If the race is slow or the favourite (Tee It Up Thommo) has a bad day, then I think Mafi is in with a shout.

Took 9/2 prince of Burma backed him the day he was gambled only up three since that. Still think he has about ten pounds in hand and the runs since I thought they were going to gamble him again, particularly catching the eye last time. 9/2 long long gone

Could be laid out for the race and Johnson up for the first time with one mount looking for the landmark winner looks good to me.

13:00 at Plumpton. I fancied Minority Interest but it was obvious from the start that the horse was making tough going of it. The jockey had to work hard. I don't think the horse would have won but it was an exciting race.

Had him backed myself.

Speculative cross card doubles and trebles for me for small money on a day of poor racing and it's just for interest.

I had Sablazo to win on much shorter odds. If I had been watching I could have gotten Sablazo each way. (On my betdash thing, not real money.)

I don't know what Zen Factor's trainer was thinking, the horse obviously wasn't in it from the start.
