    I recently started doing some 4x5' photography and now looking for an enlarger to make some prints but it's not easy to find one. Does anyone here know where I can buy one for a reasonable price. I don't want to spend loads of money in case it turned out to be not worth it. Or are there any darkrooms for rent out there? I know there's one in Gallery of Photography in Dublin, but as I live bit a distance from there, only weekends would suit me, and this is when it's often overbooked or used for workshops. Just please don't advise scanning, want to do it all traditional way. :)

    4x5 enlargers are usually not cheap. You are welcome to use mine as I plan to rent out my darkroom soon.

    As the fizz has mentioned, they're like hens teeth. You could try contact printing some of the negs as a stopgap maybe?

    Great to have another 5x4 user around here!

    yeah you'll get a nice contact print out of a 4x5. I've been contact printing 6x9cm negs of late, they're lovely to look at , they invite close examination. A 4x5 contact printed in the middle of an 8x10 sheet of paper I'd say would be something else.

    Thanks all for your advice. 4x5 contact print on 8x10, never though about it. Must try it.

    @Silver Breeze, pm sent.
