From what I know there is hollow point, ballistic tip, full metal jackets for 22 magnums but no subsonic rounds. All rounds and grain size are different from what each manufacture offers. I use 30gr Hornady Vmax in my Magnum and I find them excellent and I won't shoot anything else.

Ha ya your right no subs in wmr would kind of defeat the idea the extra power mag offers versus lr, my bad

I'm using remi hollow points in 40 grain
I think the box says 1900 fps or there abouts.
But thinking of a change.groupings went great but could be just me.I'd be interested in hearing of other bullets 22 mag users are happy with

Ah I will do my best to explain and I'm open to correction:

Full Metal Jackets: Are the most common type they can basically a normally bullet you see, they can go in and out through a taget or quarry depending on what your firing at.
Hollow Point : There is basically a hollow on the top of the bulllet an when it hits your target it mushrooms and expands inisde causimg serious damage.
Ballistic Tip: Is basically a bullet that has a plastic polymer piece on top of it and when it hits its taget the plastic piece comes back through the bullet and as it enters its target breaks into pieces causing serious internal damge.

This is the best I can explain it hopes it helps.
