Getting rid of my transit connect and I'm lookin for something smaller. Jus something dat would be capable of carrying my tools and be comfortable for long motorway driving. Have a maximum of 8'000 to spend.

I'd go with the Corolla, the 1.6 TDCi in the Focus is a temperamental engine especially if is not looked after right. Corolla is less likely to give you grief. Golf van is worth looking at too but they go for serious money. Another to look at is the Kia Proceed or the Opel Astra Sportvan.

You'd be looking at Auris van with that budget.

I'd have a Golf 1.9 van over anything else tbh.

I don't no about a golf, my sisters and my mates one have given a bit of trouble in the last while. Which kind of put me off. Would there be any decent commercial jeeps out there in that price range. I do a lot of fishing and sometimes I end up off road and getting stuck especially in the winter.
