I know this isn't a detail thing. The local hurling club what to do a car wash for raise funds. What would be the best way to wash the cars without paint damage.

Would we be better off snow foaming the cars or how would you go about doing it. Can you rent out snow foam lances.

Get some girls that have big juggs.

Fill one jugg with cold water, and the other with warm water and car shampoo (Tesco wash and wax or something like that). Grab a wash-mitt for each person and let them at it.

I've seen charity car washes and the level of quality isn't generally the biggest concern from the customer. Just make sure you don't damage paint work, and with a wash mitt, the chances of damaging anything are fairly slim (unless you're completely incompetent).

Snow foam and such will cost you more and slow you down. With a charity car wash, what you want is to get everyone in and out as quickly as you can, to try and maximise the amount of money you make from it.

Look at the lads that wash the cars in Tesco car parks. That's what you should be trying to copy.

A bit of wheel cleanse sprayed onto the wheels and let sit for a minute will do no harm either.

I don't think m/any customers will care too much what you do, so long as the car looks a little cleaner when it's leaving. Don't bother drying the cars either. Takes too long and gets rid of the wet 'shine'.

Hiya, where and when do you want to wash cars to raise funds? Will you have pressure washer to do that or you would rather do it by hand? Bear in mind that, if you want to connect pressure washer, you will have to find source for water and electricity :)
Either way, I can provide products at discounted prices to help you out ;)

    Public liability insurance ?

Autosmart snow foam cheap(ish) and cheerfull.

If you have a team let them know what causes damage, top to bottom ECT

Not sure about the insurances. I would say they would have it. There planning on having it in the next 3 weeks. What would you charge. Is 5 euro about right

If setting up a power washer is a possibility, I'd look at a production-line type setup.

Ideally, get two power washers. Have one set up on the way in to knock off the loose dirt on the cars as they arrive, then move the car onto the wash station where a gang of people have buckets and mitts to wash the cars top to bottom, finish with a second power washer stage to rinse off the suds.

Why not approach your local car wash business and ask them to run it for you for the day. If they do it free for the day you will stick up an advertising sign behind one of the goals in return or do something else which will give them a good push.

Helps them get more business, you get your wash sorted for the day, the club gets its money boost - win win win :)
