Requesting slot in NCT when there's a cancellation...

    As above, I know you can ring the NCT centre and ask if there's been cancellations to get in quicker.

    Question is, do you already have to have your booking made?

    I want to get an NCT done ASAP (although it's not up til March), earliest slot in Galway is March 25th. Baninasloe has Feb 25th which is much better. But thinking of calling NCT Galway early next week and asking if they have any cancellations, but don't want to book and pay for Galway when I can get a guaranteed Baninasloe on 25th Feb

    Or you can check regularly on line for slots - have your reg and either booking id or
    date of first reg to hand .
    Slots can come up at short notice - have used it a few times.
    Also you can book , say , for 3 wks from now but if something then comes up sooner you can take it and cancel the other ( at least 5 working days ahead ).

    Quickest way is to just ring them, you don't need to already have a booking made.

    Made an online booking today for next Wednesday :).

    Lucky I guess... only 1 spot open, other normal bookings go to 2nd-3rd week in March.
