Any hear about ghosts on Barna Moycullen Road in Galway?

I know someone who is convinced they saw something on the road between Moycullen and Barna. Has anyone ever heard of any ghosts in this area?

Not that road in particular but there is supposedly a haunted house near Maam's Cross and another beside the Eye cinema closer to town. Why do you ask?

One of my family were in the front passenger seat when I was driving on the road. They saw a woman and child walking on the road, but I didn't see anything. Afterwards they said the woman and child were dressed in old fashioned clothes and they seem to turn into an outline and then disappear.
