    Thank you appreciate the feedback

I think the 2nd one is lovely and suits your hand better but it's such an individual choice and I do think you grow into your engagement ring if that makes sense.

Solitaire will age gracefully along with your hands.....thinking long term!

Thank you for your feedback that ring is not one diamond it gives the illusion of one but it is one centre diamond surrounded by 10 smaller diamonds. appreciate your feedback as I'm an older bride to be and wanna make the right choice x

Oops! My advancing years and failing eyesight are to blame! This style of ring won't "compete" if you decide to wear an eternity ring with it at some stage.

I love the first one, stands out way more IMHO.

Is ring 1 made up of more diamonds? It looks that way on pictures, this would be my rational for choosing number 2 because as time goes on they will look duller! I know you will get it cleaned but still I have my ring over a year and haven't bothered bringing it to jewellers for free clean! Now don't get me wrong it still sparkles but I remember when I first got it strangers would actually come up and compliment it!

Hi ya thank you soo much for replying. Yes ring one has more diamonds and is €200 more expensive ( not that that's a factor. Ring no.2 is the one my boyf picked he loved it, but obviously I need to be 100%. My sister who got engaged last year loves No.2 cos she loves diamonds and sparkles but don't want a ring that discolours as u said, they both look new and sparkly now but don't wanna be wearing a ring that looks like I bought in Accesorize Xxx

Exactly I think number 1 will dull quicker plus it has more prongs so might catch in things easier eg clothes plus things will also get stuck in it easier eg soap and dirt! And something really important to take into consideration is the wedding band. Number 1 looks like a low setting and will be a pain to get a wedding band to fit plus I think you will need a diamond band to match which are way more expensive then a plain band! Number 2 looks like a normal band will fit and if not you a plain band would still look fab so you won't need to splash out for diamonds on it.

I think ring 2 looks more expensive and classier but it is hard to see in the picture.
I would want a mix of both lol

No.1 looks cheap compared to No. 2

I don't like either but if I had to choose it would be number 2, number one looks tacky

I agree number 2 looks more expensive the halo gives the illusion of a solitaire so you get more bang for your buck! I love plain shoulders on an engagement ring. I could of gotten another 0.1 diamonds on the shoulders for the same price but went for the plain as I think it gives more options on wedding band.

I don't like plain shoulders so that is why I said I would mix them:) the 1st is a bit too much for me though.

    Number 2 without a doubt. Congratulations :)

I prefer no 2. It is a classic style and will not date as fast as no 1. Personally I think no 1 looks cheaper.

Is number 2 princess cut or what?
Regarding the wedding ring, I got mine made around my e-ring. Sadly I lost the diamond and am getting a new ring made (and also wedding ring because it was made to match the last e-ring)

Yeah - I agree with No.2. I don't want to sound rude, but the first one looks a bit 'Footballer's Wives', i.e. tacky.

The second one suits your hand (which are very elegant hands BTW) much better. It looks classic, clean and will easily suit any wedding band or eternity ring.
