The Asian shop I used to go to in Ballaghaderreen has closed.
Anyone know of another one in the area
We live near Boyle, but could travel say about 20 to 30 mile.

Bit late but the Supervalu in Ballaghdareen has a reasonable selection of fresh & dry herbs & spices etc and they were cheaper than the Asian shop probably partly why it closed.

There used to be a couple in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo but not sure as its been a couple of years since I been there

Thanks for the reply. Yes the Supervalue now has a very good stock of east end spices and fresh indian veg.
Great to have a good selection close by.

There used to be two in Ballyhaunis but now there is one left. AS you come into Ballyhauinis from Castlerea go through town and take the left to Claremorris, 2-300 yards take the right turn for Supervalu, the road bends a bit and a few yards on left is a small road with some industrial units. The Asian shop is hidden from view on the right. They have the usual stuff, ie huge bags of spices for quarter the price of Tescos. Samosas frozen 50 for €14 , 15 Seekh kebabs €8 etc.

Thanks for telling me about this place. We went out for a Sunday spin yesterday and to our surprize, it was open.
Stocked up on a few things and we will be back.
