Learn me a new language.

Long story short, I want to learn a language. Perferably something I could use home and away. Also, something I could learn conversationally first.

I've done some research and decided to rule out three languages. Chinese - their ingenious numbered menu system negates the need to learn their' lingo. Dutch because it's gobbledygook and Russian because they think that that jail house hooch they drink is as refined as whiskey.

    Any other suggestions appreciated.

I currently speak "ing-glish" and have vague understanding of australian.

    Try Welsh.

You can spit at everyone and get away with it.

Grazie is thank you in Italian, Prego is a good word because it has multiple meanings like you're welcome, come in relax etc.

Now you have two words in the Italian language. You'll be fluent in no time.

Love Italy. Been there a few times. Learning their language will just make them irate. Cursing at foreigners in their native tongue gives them such pleasure. I wouldn't want to ruin that for them.

    Repeat after me:

    An-yon-g (1st word)

There's your first Korean word. When Koreans hear it here they love it! Then when they smile say:

    E-phoo-da ( 2nd word)

If they aren't interested in talking say:

    Ship-sick-yae (3rd word)

    Korean lesson over €50 please

They don't like if you don't at least make an effort though, they'll try up to a point before they give up and offer broken English.:pac: it's a funny country because of the different dialects, for instance a native speaker in Milan will struggle to understand a Sicilian. They have their own language which meshes in to the whole thing someways.
