Are Tokyo Marui guns really worth the money especially since their guns are mostly plastic?

Yes there worth every penny /cent

Pistols wise many try but rarely come close to reliability and accuracy out of the box and the don't suffer from cool down as much compared to metal pistols ,

AEG wise there bullet proof I know one airsofter that's been running a 10year old mauri aeg bar needing a little lube every now and again and a single piston change its still factory condition internally ,

There standard hop up is near perfection ,

Personally I rather run around all day with a mauri AEG and pistol vs a heavier full metal AEG and pistol

Four of my five pistols are Marui and I'm selling the one that isn't. Enough said?? ;-)

If not, then let me say that I have never, ever had any kind of issue with my Marui pistols. While some guys complain about the cool down effect, or leaking mags in their pistols, my Marui pistols work every time. I've out ranged and out shot guys in one on one battles where they had aegs and I was using my pistols and I won! Yes Marui pistols cost a lot more than other brands but there's a reason for that and it's because they are QUALITY!

Trust me, I'm not the fanboy type, ie just because I've bought something doesn't mean I will defend it even if it's crap. In fact, I'd be the first to say I've bought a lemon. However you will not go wrong with Tokyo Marui. If you only ever buy one pistol, buy a TM.

I'll shut up now as I'm labouring the point! :-D

Definitely worth it. My first gun was a TM M93R that I got second hand and I've probably put 3000 or so rounds through it. Never any issue with it and comments about their hopup's are bang on. Gets almost the same range as my G&G Rush despite having a 100 less fps.

Also have a marui P90. Haven't used it much to be honest as I haven't had a chance to get out recently. The tappet plate did break but I think that was down to me using a cheap KS mag as It failed almost immediately. Also bought second hand, is 3 years old now and the previous owner had no issues after using it a couple of times a month for 2 years. Bought a TM FN57 from the same guy no issues either and was the secondary for the P90 for the 2 years.

A lot of the american guys on youtube aren't so crazy about them as they reckon they can't cope with a higher spring to get to higher fps. I think they are just looking at things too simply and these are the guys who want to get to 500 fps with just a spring change which is unrealistic.

Oh and my brother has a G36 which he also got second hand and its now 5 years old and still fires like a dream. Consistent and excellent range which is exactly what you want. The japanese are perfectionists and it shows!
