Hi, looking to book flights to orlando, through sky scanner
so its a 1 stop over in manchester or gatwick
then its either BA or virgin.
My question is, the baggage allowance is 23kg from uk to orlando
but when I am checking in at dublin airport(its with airlingus, is my account only 20kg?
also do I do the visa check in airport at the uk or will it be when we land in the US?
I can assume I will check my bag in dublin and it will arrive in orlando?and also that a 2 hour stop over is plenty of time to move terminal in the uk
    thanks for the help
*notice my spelling on topic can't change!

If its aer lingus flight is on the same ticket as BA or Virgin then BA or Virgins baggage allowance applies which would be 23kg bags will be checked all the way to orlando

This is what it says, I'd be doing the one booking- through sky scanner.
I completed the form just to see where it was going and I didn't any option of adding bags
Check your itinerary (all times are local)
    Outbound journeyOUTBOUND - Thu, 13 Mar 2014
    Aer Lingus
    EI3322
    	Operated by Aer Arann
    09:55 DUB Dublin Departure 1h 10
    11:05 MAN Manchester Destination
Connect in airport Connection 2h 05
    Virgin Atlantic
    VS73

    13:10 MAN Manchester Departure 9h 25
    18:35 MCO Orlando International

    Bags will be included http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/travel-information/baggage/check-in-baggage.html
between the US & Canada and India the allowance is two bags.

One of the options I am being given out of shannon to orlando is coming back with Virgin Atlantic landing in gatwick, collecting bags, getting our own transport to heathrow then back to shannon with Aer Lingus. Its all one ticket but would I be charged baggage fees in heathrow and would I be checking in again or just going to "baggage drop"? Thanks

As its all one ticket you should get the same allowance on both flights. The Aer Lingus checkin/baggage drop are the same desks at Heathrow.

HI lads just co,ming back to this..
I am trying to check in.
I can check in on the aer lingus flight no problem, just printed the tickets
but on the virgin atlantic site I can't check in(but I can log into my booking), the sky scanner had given me the confirmation codes for each aer carrier.. is this the norm, there is a note that they have noticed i may be on a connecting flight, and there is another box that says to be there 3 hours before the flight.. I have 2hours 5 mins between my flights and I have to get from ternimal 1 in manchester to terminal 2.
Do I have to go through security again, and also the virgin site says I have take my checked receipts and bring them to the bag and drop so the bags can be-routed. have I left myself short of time here?
