    Hi guys.
My 5 year old Dell desktop has decided to call it a day last night. So what better time to do what I've always wanted and build my own gaming rig :pac:
Now first to get it out of the way I'm obviously a first time builder so would really appreciate any input here at all. I really like the look of the prodigy cases but despite the title I'm open to other options too.. but obviously must be a quality well known case.

    1. What is your budget? [€1400]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? High end gaming for the next few years plus Revit,AutoCAD and Solidworks

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No, have a copy of 8.1

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? no

    5. Do you need a monitor? No

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Possibly mouse and keyboard

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes but not at first.

    8. How can you pay? Bank Transfer/Card

    9. When are you purchasing? Soon as I feel I've found a build worth the money. So fairly soon hopefully

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Will attempt it myself but based in Limerick

Currently I'm looking at something along the lines of this
    Item|Price
    ASRock Z87E-ITX Intel Z87 |€129.14
    i5 4670K|€205.99
    16GB Corsair Vengeance|€159.74
    Samsung EVO 250GB|€147.99
    WD Blue 1TB|€51.31
    BeQuiet 600W|€70.23
    BitFenix Prodigy miniITX|€70.17

    Current Total being €834.57

I'm undecided between a non reference GTX 770 (2gb or 4gb) or going for a non ref R9 280x. They seem to trade blows on games with the 770 coming off with a slight advantage on most. The only thing really dragging me towards the 280 is the slightly cheaper price point and the possibilities of mantle.

I'm probably over doing it with the power supply too but I'm not sure on what I would need. I decided to go for the mini ITX as that motherboard has gotten good reviews and I need AC wifi.

Any ideas or opinions lads? :pac:
