Peugeot glow plugs

So the glow plugs are most likely not working in our 1.9d 206 again.
This seems to happen every year when it gets cold causing the car not to start. I have replaced them with ones from the motor factors each year. A full set btw. They have been different brands each time. Car only dose about 8 thousand miles each year.
I was wondering would I be better off getting genuine Peugeot ones or would they just be the same and need replacing every winter the same as spurious ones??

    Check the plug relay?

I didn't check this time but every other year new plugs solve it. Would a faulty relay cause the plugs to wear early??

Same again this morning. A bit of frost and not a chance of it starting. Started perfectly ever other morning and will most likely start this evening...
