eFibre dreadful in the evenings

Got eFibre back in July and it was fantastic. Just over the Christmas the speeds went from 50mb to 10mb in the evenings. After midnight everything is fine and dandy again.

I've changed nothing. The only thing I can think of is I did a lot of heavy downloading in December and maybe they're throttling me?

I really am at a loss...have reset my modem to factory defaults etc

Longer evenings, more people at home at Christmas and the huge uptake in streaming services (Illegal and legal streaming) will cause a slow down (In my opinion).

I've noticed this myself on standard eircom fibre. Gradual slow down from 6pm onwards and then fine after 12.

Hmmm well this slowdown is extreme mate...from 5mb/s to a wild 280KB/s in the evenings. Christmas is over now and it's still happening.
