FDC Storage

Looking for some advice - I inherited my dad's collection of FDCs (from about 1966 to 1986 and some dribbles beyond). He tended to get multiples of each made out to himself and the various kids. I bought a couple of FDC albums as I was hoping to keep them for the next generation, but the multiples make it tricky to fit more than about 10 sheets in each book making it a costly method of storage.

Is there a cheaper, but still elegant way to store a bunch of FDC envelopes so they're at least somewhat protected. I could then just one of each FDC into the albums. I considered a shoebox, but that seems half assed.

    Corblimey

Album pages on their own would be a possibility but they'd have to be boxed then. I've kept FDCs in a shoe box and they seem to survive fine as long as they're face up/down. Watch out for different size FDCs as they can leave creases when stored on top of each other.
