Mitsubishi Carisma Hatchback Condensation

Been having a lot of issues recently with condensation on the front and rear screens on my 2000 Mitsubishi Carisma. If the car is left parked for more than a couple of hours there is a large amount of condensation after building up. Is there any quick fix to prevent this. I understand with a car this old the seals may not be as weather tight as they should be but is there any cheap fix for this?

a lot of people recommend the following.
    1. Change the pollen filter.
    2. Keep the fan on even slightly the whole time your in the car use the temperature controls to stay comfortable.
    3. You can also get little bags of dessicant that can be placed in your car to absorb moisture.

Check the boot for any laying water either around the spare wheel or the pockets of the boot is the rear demister working as it should you will if it is when it's turned on the condensation will desperse in lines from the rear window

Back window demister works fine. I might try the desiccant idea

Clean the inside of the windows thoroughly with windowleen? or whatever ya call it, and newspaper. It makes the surface smooth so the moisture droplets can't stick to it. That said, I did just that myself and it didn't make much of an improvement.

Two things: change the pollen filter and get the glass spotlessly clean. Go over it a few times and dry it off with newspaper.

Does the classic model have a pollen filter? If so that cleaning the windscreen and changing that should be an easy fix:)

Where is the pollen filter located. I will change it this weekend and give the windscreen a scrub to see if it makes a difference.

There was no pollen filter in my Carisma, if it has Air Con this will dry it out

No pollen filter in a carisma - have a goo at the seals and make sure the drain holes in the doors, under the front valence and if it has a sunroof - around the sunroof and it's drains are all clear of debris.
