I have asked UPC in September if they provide an App for the Android platform and they told me that there will be one available before the end of the year. It is now Jan 2014 and still no app. I asked them again and they told me that there will be an app available in Spring 2014.

I bet if I ask them in Spring they tell

I just wonder why they ignore so many customers (maybe even the majority).

Maybe UPC can answer this here!!!

I switched over to Sky a couple of years ago and they have a Sky Go on Xbox 360 and Android too.

    Do yourself a favor.

It took them long enough to appear on Android

I am really annoyed about the whole Horizon Android app fiasco. Apple may be trendy but Android is still the platform used by a majority of devices. And unless I'm mistaken, UPC Nederlands already has it.

On the suggestion that a switch to Sky is the answer, whilst Sky's TV offering may be polished and superior to UPCs, you do pay quite a premium for it.

And if you're looking for a Triple Play provider then UPC is still the only contender. Sky's TV offering may be the best, but their Phone and Broadband is provided over Eircom's network and doesn't even come close to UPC. For an all inclusive package, UPC beats Sky hands down. So for me personally that's reason enough to persevere with UPC.

It is testing my resolve to remain a tv subscriber I wanted the android availability also sky has channels like atlantic and watch. Would also like access to bt sport online or through the app, this would make a big difference to me.
