Cannabis Seeds legal in Ireland or not

    Hi guys,

    I wonder are Cannabis Seeds legal in Ireland or not?

    I have a connection in the Netherlands who has hundreds of seeds.

    They are high quality seeds and he wants me to sell them online for the Irish Market.

    I don t want to do this as this looks illegal.

    He claims it s not. He claims that only selling weed is illegal as cannabis is not legalized in Ireland.

    But he says sellings seeds is 100 legal.

    Is he talking crap or what? I must say that there are several stores in Dublin that sell weed seeds.

    The seeds themselves are legal.
    It would be illegal if you put them in soil or germinate them.

    You would be able to sell them, but there are a few sites and shops already selling them.

    Possession of the seeds is not illegal however cultivating them is.

    As above, the possession and sale of cannabis seeds is not prohibited under the Misuse of Drugs legislation. Cannabis seeds are tradeable goods not controlled by the international drug control conventions because they are legitimately sold for bird seed, fishing bait and the growing of hemp.

    It is an offence, however, under Section 17 of the Misuse of Drugs Act as amended to cultivate cannabis except under licence for the purposes of research or growing of hemp.

    So if if i launch a site let s say www.smokeyseed.ie and i try to sell seeds in ireland that s okay right?

    But if i add articles to my website for example how to grow to weed then it s not legal no more ?

    I was always under the impression that cultivating cannabis was illegal but cultivating hemp was legal,
