They are AAx heifers so I assume this is a large difference to a big loppy CH or SI or worse again BB?

Speaking for dairy cows, one plus is very easy calvings but condtion would monitered closely and the other plus is the early thrive on spring grass

Cows out wintered calve easier as they have more excercise than being cramped in a shed.

Would there be risk of grass staggers and milk fever with fresh calved ladies on very early grass , wud use be dusting or giving licks etc

Don't worry they will have the field well bare before that's an issue

I had sixteen bullocks about 430kg's out until today due to lack of space. Put them in shed today. They look healthy and look as if they have thriven quiet well. Going to weigh them next week. Cattle happy out. Less work for me when they are inside.
