Old Photographs of Irish towns and villages

Hi all,

Does anyone know where the best resource for old photographs c. 1900s or older of old towns and villages in Ireland would be?
I'm particularly interested in Castlecomer in Kilkenny and a part of Kilkenny St. called Florence Terrace.

Best resource is always the local parish, asking people for old photos of the area. Could put up a notice in local shops and give a number/address/email for them to contact you or forward them on.
