    Hello all,

Hoping to get married by the end of this year. Going to have a civil ceremony at one of these venues hopefully. I have read old posts on the 3 venues but im just looking for any updated info. The 3 venues we are interested in are, Finnstown house, Leixlip Manor & leixlip House. We are roughly looking at 65 guests for the wedding and possibly another 30 to attend the afters.

Im going to view the venues in the next 2 weeks but any info , hints & tips in the mean time will be much appreciated.

Sorry, add Springfield hotel to that list also.

    Thanks all

only one of these I know is Finnstown house. Nice venue what I didn't like was that you have to vacate the main hall whilst they get it ready for use by band after your meal that was a deal breaker for us right there.

We're having ours in Leixlip Manor in the summer. FYI they have a minimum number of 90 guests for their packages. They will accommodate smaller weddings but have an additional charge (I don't know how much). So far have found them great to deal with

liexlip house do the same. its not so bad in either venue tbh. the bar is set up in the outside area as dancefloor and room is readied for the entertainment. people are forced to mingle and chat and have a wonder for 30-40 minutes post meal.

liexlip house might best choice at those numbers. the other rooms might be a bit bare with 6-7 tables. allow 10% rsvp no shows and afters guests are rare. long time time since I seen any more than 10-15 max turning up and thats even at big weddings.

Visited Leixlip House, personally we didn't like it.
We really liked the look of Leixlip Manor but didn't go see it as their max numbers were quite low for us.

We were at a wedding in Finnstown house in Summer a few years ago. As someone above said, you have to empty out while they set up the room and the room never really filled up again. it was a lovely night so a lot of people just congregated outside which meant the dance floor was mostly empty for the night. The place itself was beautiful though!

Having been at weddings in both Finnstown and Leixlip Manor. Finnstown function room is lovely, food good and service also good.
I felt the house part of Finnstown was a little shabby I understand it's an old house.
Leixlip Manor food and service were fab but was disapointed in the room we stayed in. heard other guests at the wedding had issues with their rooms.

What kind of issues? We'll be advising our guests on accom soon so would love to know if there's anything to worry about...

One room when a guest took a shower the water wouldn't drain away. Our was cold, the curtains weren't hung properly, no coffee in the room and the tv was old and didn't work properly.

    Hi Richard tea
We are getting married in Finnstown in July and I have to say I love the place.
Beautiful for photos, food is amazing, staff are all lovely and its not the typical conveyor belt feel of a hotel wedding.
Unfortunately I wont have more info until after July but I have no 2nd thoughts after booking :)
    Good luck!

Hiya we are getting married in Leixlip manor in April. We are having the diamond package with 80 guests there was no problem being below the 90 and they aren't charging us any extra. Maybe go and speak to them and get a feel for the place and see what they say.
