Mod - Apology to all - Soll thread

Hi all,

I just want to make an apology to everyone for completely botching a merge job with the two Soll threads in Winter Sports which has resulted in losing the new Soll posts. In particular I wanted to apologise to Fannymegee who had started both posts and those who commented on them.

I was trying to merge the best of both threads into a single post called "Soll" but instead I somehow removed the original (new) Soll thread and then merged every users comments into a single post which is terrible really. I don't think I can reverse it either.

There is no test area here so when I make a Mod change its pretty much done straight away on the live system. I had never had to execute a Merge command before and basically it didn't work as I expected it too.

I'm going to step away from the computer now before I can do any more damage here...

Seriously through I do apologies to everyone, I hate having to lose any information from people who have taken the time to post here.

Lol!! Aww don't worry Static M.e, it could happen a Bishop! No problem at all, thanks for taking the time to try! It'll all come together again- now go and have a nice cuppa

I can't help being amused at the sudden increase in (legit) Soll threads though, lol!! ;-)

Ah there's no need for forum snow fights, it's all good!

One thing I think has been shown in all of these threads- when it comes to Soll, a sense of humour definitely helps!! Lol ;-)

I did indeed a148pro, thanks for enquiring! I get that (and the rest) on quite a regular basis, and today we also got snow!! Lol ;-)

Best way is copy all posts from first thread to new thread, copy all posts from second thread to new thread then delete old threads if nothing has broken.

I have started a new resort information thread and transferred most of the relevant info into the first post, so it's all in one place and a bit clearer. It's been a bit of a Soll explosion today lol! ;-)
