Hows it going picked up a 1.8 tdci ford focus few days ago ,car is running fine. I wouldnt know to much about diesel cars, a mate of mine says i have a problem with the glow plugs in it as when I put the key in the ignition the coil light is only comming up for a second and then going off,, he said from his experience with diesel cars the coil should come on for 3 seconds then go off and then start the car, as I said car is running fine no problems, can somebody shed some light on this cheers..

It does'nt matter. I had the 1.8TDci mondeo (same engine) and it did the same as yours. I got 200,000km (or thereabouts) out of it and I saw it on the road 6 months later still going strong.

sounds normal to me, if car is starting o.k, then I wouldn't worry
