    so what do you lot know of this world wide puzzle?

    did you try it before?

    is it impossible>?

    the rumours are its a secret recruitment for the secret services? others say its dodgy? are there prizes?

    a cicada is awide eyes insect and some of the stuff covered so far includes

    william blake, mayen numerals, welsh poetry and the Bible amongst many others topics

    the mind boggles?

    I've tried it before, made as much sense as a sudoku puzzle mixed with a giraffe.

    Nobody knows what Cicada 3301 is for sure. I'm guessing it's an elaborate game being played by a group of hackers and computer game enthusiasts. A sort of computer game that's played in 'meatspace', if you will. If it were the NSA or MI6, I don't think they would have posted the stuff on 4Chan. They seem to be doing pretty well in cyber warfare and surveilling the populous without needing to resort to mysterious recruitment methods.

    No, I'd say it's a diverse group of computer people spread throughout the globe who have a great time every year figuring out new puzzles, designing levels of intrigue and finding ways to keep themselves anonymous.
