    Hey,
I'm a Leaving cert student and I've Theology & Psychology in All Hallows' down as number 1 on my CAO application. However I dont really know anyone who goes there and was wondering what is it like? Education wise? Social life? The benefits of it being a college of DCU? Etc....

well I know a person there who is doing that course and she really loves, seems brilliant with a wide variety of career options. I may consider doing it myself. So I'm up for going there. Have you Considered what you'd like to work at?

I love the sounds of the course! It would be right up my street! I was doing a science degree this year but hated it and dropped out and realised that was definitely an area I didn't want to get in. I'm just really curious what the college is like in general and what the night life is like. How about you? What would you like to work at?

Aw fair play for discovering what you really want to do and going for it. I know people who tried something dropped out and never searched for something better. They thing I've gathered about All Hallows' from talking to my mate is that that the social side of it is integrated with the dcu campus as you have use of their facilities such as the bar etc... Plus I think All Hallows' looks like a convent or hogwartz. I've been emailing the staff on and off finding out information on the college as you do, and have to say I've never received such a good support and information. Really helpful. I wanna do a PGCE (or English teaching post grad) and teach psychology and religion to A level students. That option would also be available to you to.

Ah yea I really didn't see the point in carrying on something I really didn't want to do like so be grand! I really think im going to go for All Hallows now! As long as the points don't go up majorly, I will be grand! That is exactly what I was thinking of doing a post-grad in! Thank You

Yeah no point in doing something you dislike. Well if I'm being totally honest I don't think many people know about All Hallows', like I've mentioned it to a few people and they're like where is that? And some of those people are from Dublin, then others have said is it not private? So a lot f people don't know it qualifies under the free fees scheme. So let's not promote the college till where in it and keep it our secret ;))

So... I don't think the points will go up much. If they go up at all.. If we both get what we want I shall see you in the theology lecture :p

Well stick at the plc okay and try you best and get 5 distinctions. All Hallows' reserve 3 places for fetac students and as I mentioned most fetac students would aim for more well known colleges so no doubt you'd get a place!
