My son just traded in some ds games and got a wii.
I have it connected with the red, white and yellow leads that came with it,i seen a lead for sale in deslz that connects the wii to the Tv through a scary lead.
would this be a better quality picture than i have already?
if not is there a higher resolution lead that i can get?

You want component cable for best wii res. !
Wont be hd or anything, but it does kick it up a notch

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Unknowm-6900214001630-WII-COMPONENT-CABLE/dp/B000NUR582/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389286124&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+component+cable

What you saw, scart lead thing, is just an adapter, if you don't have the coloured sockets you plugged into.

I might be a bit late here but depeding on what Wii console you have some don't support component. The later models had that stupidly removed.

It was bizarre what Nintendo did with the Wii, gradually taking away useful functionality with each new model!

To act as incentive to upgrade to Wii U? If that was the case, why bother with the Wii at all.

i am not sure which one it is tbh.
it can take a wired gamecube controller, so i think its an earlier model.
might just go with the wii cable in deals that has a scart connection on it, should be an improvement over what were using atm

Component will work fine on that model.

If you are getting a scart cable make sure it's a proper scart cable. Some look like scart but are just wired for normal AV composite.

Also just plugging av composite into a scart adapter won't give you a scart signal.

Yeah, it's a lead about 2 metres long with a Wii connection on 1 end and a scart connection on the other.
Thanks for the info about the component
