    Hi

Just wondering if someone could help? I applied for my Medical Expenses last Thursday through the Revenue online system and haven’t heard anything back. I got 2tax certs straight away but haven’t got a response to my medical expenses,

Is the turnaround on line usually this long? I appreciate they are v busy at this time of the year so don’t want to go calling with a trivial request!

    Thanks in advance.

Normally if all is order a p21 balancing statement issued within 48 hours. This tells you the result of your review (repayment, balanced or underpayment) If you signed up to receive correspondence electronically, then the P21 is in your online account. If not it can take 5 to 10 working days via snail mail.
What does your request history state?

    Thanks for the reply

I applied on the 2nd Jan & on the 2nd I recieved P21 Request Pay & Tax, Tax Credits & Income Summary, Tax Credit Cert and thats all.

Dya know I actually removed the One Parent Family Credit from my credits, me and the BF are moving in with each other in April and when I applied for it in 2010 I recieved back dated payment for that year and I didnt want to incur a similar one for underpayment I wonder has this held it up. I dont want to claim it for 2014 as we will be living together for the majority of it.

It's just a record of the request. Check on the personal details page if the box for electronic correspondence is ticked. If it's not then the p21 will come via snail mail.

If it is ticked then it may mean that your claim is being reviewed rather than processing automatically. A percentage of all claims are double checked which slows them down.

Re the one parent family credit, it has altered for 2014 and I haven't familiarised myself with it yet so can't help you there.

Ye will be living together so the new credit won't make any difference to you - you won't be entitled to it (just as you wouldn't with the old credit). You have correctly requested to have it removed
