    Is this car any good?

I know that people might suggest an Asian suv but the driver position of any that I have tried has had my head against the roof (similar in a lot of Asian cars that I have driven)

Is your only requirement that it needs a lot of headroom?
You can get cars with better mpg and reliability without having to buy an suv.

I like them. 2.4d and the auto box works well together imho.

They aren't cheap to run however. Like any heavy tall vehicle they'll be hard on brakes and tyres.

Fuel consumption isn't brilliant, and a 2.4l has relatively high fixed costs.

No I actually also need an SUV, my poor Passat is failing on me. Been stuck on the bog pulling a trailer too many times now

    Subaru Forester.

Such a good all round vehicle. AWD, good clearance, decent wading depth, comfortable, decent mpg, low(er) range gearing, durable, capable of towing approx. 1200KG.

Can be got fairly cheap compared to an XC90 as well.
