    Hi all,

After been unemployed for the last 6 months after 15 years in the same company I'm back in the market.

40yrs old and not too shabby but not too great. Can anyone tell me what the likes of apple, emc, major pharma companies look for in a medical ?

    Thanks,

I've done them for similiar companies, generally they ask for your health history, do a consultation with you and some will do drug tests

I've had full medicals done three times. They tested me for everything.

    I can tell you this:

If the medical isn't for a while (e.g. one or two months) you can do a lot to raise your chances of passing it, especially considering you are unemployed and have some time on your hands.

Eat very healthily for a month (this can be cheap - lots of water, veg - cut out the booze, junk, simple carbs and any recreation drugs) and start walking/jogging every day. You can do bodyweight fitness such a push ups, pull ups, etc. You will be amazed how you can transform yourself in a few weeks.

I'm not just talking about losing weight and improving fitness - lots of the bad **** that comes with being unhealthy (like cholesterol levels, fatty liver, insulin sensitivity, etc.) can also be improved. My medicals tested me for these things.

Dont worry about the medical, if you are of average health you will be fine. Lay off the doobey and you will be grand.
