Has anyone any experience / issues regarding insurance on a car having a glass / panoramic roof?

Purchasing a C220 next week with a glass / panoramic roof and wondering if it will have any insurance implications? Going to ring my insurance co. tomorrow to get their spin on it but would appreciate any feedback

A lot of companies specifically exclude it. As in its not covered for breakages by stone chips etc like a windscreen is.

I have one and my insurer (Aviva) specifically exclude it from glass cover. It is still covered by normal comprehensive insurance, ie subject to excess and possible loss of NCB.

Thanks. I'm with Aviva. OK so not the end of the world that the roof itself is excluded, so long as the rest of the car is properly insured.

What kind of price would a replacment be? I'm thinking guts of €2k myself but I might be way over estimating.

I don't want to think about it
