I'm modifying two existing gates in a shed between the slats and the creep area.
What size opening should I leave for the creep, I'll set it up so that it can be reduced as required...
The calves will be 5/6 months old when they go into the shed and 9/10 months old when they come out.

We have a heifer struggling to get through at the min. I measured it the other day and if I recall correctly it's 22". We have a bar that slots into the middle to keep the calves off the cows except when we let em in and out to suck.

I was thinking about 26" but I'm not sure . Would it be handy to have adjustable bars for different ages and bulls and heifers going through on different years ?

Problem with big is cows might think about going through & get caught.
