    Hi Guys,

Anyone have a Elite Turbo Muin and if so what do you think of it?

    Any feedback would be great!

Should maybe have put link up to show what it is!

No feedback from me, but I am thinking of getting one, so am interested in seeing the responses. I like the idea of direct drive rather than messing around with a separate wheel with a turbo tyre, wear and tear etc.

On the downside, it looks like a pretty big beast - hard to hide in the corner! Also the interface from the sensors is proprietary, so to monitor power etc. you need to use their app, which is iPhone/iPad only. And I'm of the Android rather than Apple religion, and don't fancy shelling out for an iPhone just for this.

IMO, for this money, the interfaces should be standard ANT+, allowing peope to use their Garmin or whatever for monitoring.

    Edit:

Just noticed that on the Wiggle US web site that you linked, they have replaced the original term "trainers" with the US equivalent "sneakers", so it reads "...a new concept in Elite sneakers..." :D

Doesent sound good with no ant+ compatability, im personally sick of the turbo and unless you plan on doing some highly intensive work on the turbo I would get rollers. They are way more interesting and less boring

Mediaman... GCN did a piece from Eurobike about these and the Elite rep said there was an Android App coming out so it should be out now cause that was back in November?? Didn't quite catch the name but I'm sure it's easy enough to find.

I'm not one that go's mad on data I just like the idea of direct drive and no messing with wheels etc so this of the Le Mond me thinks

That's good to hear, but I did a quick search on the Play Store and didn't get any hits.

Here is a lengthy review of turbos (although with a US focus) from the king of reviewers, DC Rainmaker: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/10/2013-trainer-recommendations.html

He says in there that he held off publishing the review waiting for a Muin to arrive but it didn't show up in time so it is not reviewed in that article. He has some comments on the Muin in these articles:
    http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/09/silent-trainer-output.html
    http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/11/elite-turbo-unboxing.html

It says in the comments to one of articles that TrainerRoad now supports the Muin which is good if you use that service, and maybe an alternative to going down the iPhone/Pad app route.

BTW, the other turbo I am looking at is the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (or maybe the Rock and Roll at a stretch).
