So Say I wish to go to college after my computer science level 6 fetac. The course is CNSSX. The college I am going to does it have to have the same code? Or can I go to a different college and study a all different course instead of Computer Science?

You should make an appointment with your Career Guidance Counsellor to discuss the progression opportunities your current college offers as sometimes they have unique agreements for progression from Level 6 to Level PLC colleges eg Dublin, Cork, Cavan, Galway etc.

The other option is to apply via the CAO. Check out the link for FETAC applicants on their site and click into the college or course you wish to progress to and see what FETAC award they accept. In generally the IoTs will take any award for entry into Year 1 of any Level 7 course they offer - there may be some exemptions.

    Best of luck
