Got a email this morning with
Membership at Dunmurry Springs Golf Club is about playing golf, with great member benefits, a comfortable and contemporary clubhouse, and good practice facilities. Play when you want, with good timesheet availability, especially at weekends. And that's not all! You also get Monday-Friday playing rights at 3 other great courses: Druids Heath, Seafield & Glasson,

Think it is a super idea to have 3 courses you can play for free along with the course you are a member of, think it could catch on.

That's a fantastic deal seeing as membership in Glasson is around the 1k mark when i enquired last year.

It's a good idea and has been round for a while in other clubs. Druids Heath is €1,000 for 5 day mon-fri membership, so i guess if you were looking at that, you would actually be better off joining Dunmurray Springs! Though, I'm sure there is possibly a limited number of times you can play there or you probably can't play in member competitions.

I know my own club has a deal with a number of other Wicklow Clubs, whereby I can play them with up to 3 others and we only pay member guest rates rather than full green fees..... I've never taken it up though!! If it's still on, might try and organise something later in the year

Good idea and seems like a good rate. Maybe slightly off-topic but how is there such a discrepancy between mens and ladies subscription prices?

Think they've had that deal in place for the last 2 years too if I remember correctly.

According to online tee times, they are also giving a free 4 ball away in Bunclody as an extra little sweetener for the deal.

If you can play a good bit of midweek golf its a very good deal.

Haven't played Druids Heath but believe its a lovely & tough trek.

Glasson is a very nice course as is Dunmurry itself.

I played Seafield and its slightly underwhelming given the beautiful location. You're right on the coast but the actual sea views are very minimal. Its a grand course if you're staying in the Hotel, but I wouldn't go out of my way to play it to be honest.

Comps in your own course would be fine, free midweek green fees to go play other courses is the attraction, you will often here guys saying they wouldn't join a course because they would get bored playing the same place week after week this type of membership changes that. Dunmurry is a nice course as well.

Great to see courses getting together and coming up with new(ish) options like this.

Tulfarris offers free midweek golf at Moy Valley and Faithlegg. Agreed that it's a great idea, good cooperation between the clubs
