    Looking for recommendations for books on the Jacobite Risings, nothing too heavy, also any recommendations for some on an introduction to scottish history? Thanks

    BAsed on the TV series, I found this book a good introduction to Scottish history..

    I've read these awhile back, but a fairly good introduction to the subject:
    Highlanders: A History of the Gaels Paperback by John MacLeod
    and
    The Kingdom of Scotland by Mackenzie.
