Well I can't comment on the teaching as I have nothing to compare it with. In terms of the degree it's an applied psychology degree which is very much focused on carrying out and writing up experiments, statistics is very much tied into the research methods (experiments).

It is very much an academic degree and very useful in preparation for post-grad studies. However it's very intense and if you're anything like me and lacking in discipline and self-motivation it could be tough.

I'm a 2nd year student and a girl that transferred from UCD was kind of lost in terms of statistics as there was much less emphasis there. I believe Ul is very much geared toward social psychology which i quickly googled and found http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056866080 read down a few posts. Trinity looks good as you'd imagine.

Ul and maynooth also have BSc (bachelor of sciences as opposed to bachelor of arts) in psychology which if I had an option again would be my preference.

I'll have a look at some of the others and compare in the next few day.

The MA in Applied Psychology is not accredited by the PSI, but does it still count when applying for the D.Clin? My undergrad is the BSc from NUIM so that gives me graduate entry to PSI - is that sufficient when applying for the doctrate? I've applied to UCC this year, waiting to hear back from them.
