Change to planning..... mid build

I have the block work completed on my house. It is a simple house. Normal two story design with an "extention" at one side. Origionally I has planned on putting a flat roof on this extention using trocol or fibre glass. Now I have changed my mind and would prefer a normal hipped roof on this "extention"

What can I do? (legally obviously). Can you submit a change at this stage?? Would the planners be open to this? I dont want to put on the flat roof and then realise I hate it and change it in 5 years time.

Send drawing of existing and proposed roof along with planning details to planner and ask them.

Just wondering would this thing be common and are they typically open to granting this minor change? Before i get the amendment drawn up.

Yes. If it's not a substantial change from the plans it can be agreed in writing with the LA. But only the local planner can decide.

Other option would be to build and apply for retention but obviously a bit riskier.

Would prefer to go the proper route and have it right from the start so will approach council.

    Thanks.
